Today, DGK, iconic skateboard brand, and Rolling Loud, the World’s Largest Hip-Hop Festival, announce a wide-ranging collaboration as part of Rolling Loud California 2024. The collaboration includes a merch capsule, a “Saved by Skateboarding” giveback to inner-city youth, and a first-of-its-kind “Mini-Table Contest” featuring top professional skateboarders, all taking place from March 14th-17th at Hollywood Park, on the grounds adjacent to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
DGK's Saved By Skateboarding has become a staple on the Rolling Loud schedule. Each year before Rolling Loud California, Rolling Loud and DGK give away free skateboards to inner-city youth, with the goal of teaching them strength, independence, and discipline. On Thursday, March 14th, Rolling Loud and DGK partner with MLS franchise the L.A. Galaxy to donate 100 skateboards to kids from the Inglewood City After School Program during an event hosted at the DGK Skate Park on the festival grounds at Hollywood Park.
On Saturday, March 16th, during the festival, DGK and Rolling Loud will hold the first-ever Mini-Table Contest, where top professional skateboarders will compete for a chance to win up to $10,000 for tricks on and over the picnic tables. Picnic tables have been a staple of Los Angeles Street skateboarding culture for decades and this contest will feature skateboarding’s best showcasing their skills on two tables in the DGK Skatepark. Skaters will receive cash prizes for individual tricks and the skater with the best overall tricks will win a prize of $5,000.
This year’s DGK x Rolling Loud Capsule includes an exclusive t-shirt and a skateboard, available worldwide on dgk.com and shoprollingloud.com starting March 12th.
The t-shirt will be available at the Rolling Loud Merch Tent from Thursday March 14th, 2024 till Sunday March 17th.
